The Chairman of the Oyo State Post Primary Schools Teaching Service Commission (TESCOM), Pastor Akinade Alamu, has reiterated the government’s commitment to improving the lots of teachers in the state and prioritizing education.
During a special training workshop for secondary school principals in Ibadan, the TESCOM boss assured principals that within the next three years, every school would have a fence and undergo renovations.
“The governor assured us that he is aware of the conditions of our schools in Oyo state and pledged that within the next three years, no school will be without a fence, and all renovations will be completed within this time frame.”
He stated that the governor has expressed willingness to recruit more teachers and appreciated the teachers for their dedication and commitment to duty.
The TESCOM Boss also emphasized the government’s commitment to building capacity and ensuring that the knowledge gained from the workshop would have a lasting impact.
The Chief Strategic Officer of the Educational Advancement Centre (EAC), Pastor Muyiwa Bamgbose, encouraged teachers to embrace technology in their teaching methods.
In a communiqué, Mrs. Adebanji, representing the principals, expressed appreciation to the present administration for prioritizing educational excellence and advocated for regular training of teachers in different cadres.
The highlight of the event was the presentation of certificates to participating principals, who expressed appreciation to the Oyo State government for its support.
