The National Medical Association, Oyo state chapter have advised protesters in Ibadan the Oyo state capital, and other parts of the country to ensure strict compliance to all covid 19 protocols to avoiding a second surge of tye pandemic in-country

The state chairman of the association, Dr. Ayotunde Fasunla made this call today during a press briefing held at the NMA secretariat in Ibadan on the ongoing Endsars and police brutality protest in the country.

Dr. Fasunla said the NMA totally condemns police brutality and the inhuman treatment of Nigerians in the hands of police officers.

He noted that as much as its citizens have a right to gathering and protesting, it is important that safety protocols against covid 19 should be employed and adhere to, adding that people who feel sick should stay away from.protest ground.

The medical association hereby call on well-meaning Nigerians to use everything possible within their power to bring the youths and the government to the negotiation table so that this protest will not be unduly prolonged.
