The Oyo State Governor, Engineer Seyi Makinde, has ordered the re-arrest of Sunday Shodipe, the prime suspect in the killing of more than five people in Akinyele local government area of the state.
The Governor, who was represented by the special adviser to the governor on security matter, Mr. Fatai Owoseni, disclosed this during a security town hall meeting at Akinyele local government.
He expressed displeasure at the way the suspect escaped from the police net and urged the people not to take laws into their hands or destroy properties.
The Alakinyele of Akinyele , Oba James Odediran wondered how the suspect escaped from the hands of the police despite being paraded with his legs chained.
Stakeholders took turns to call for prompt action and thorough investigation to detect police officers who were accomplices in the escape and re-arrest the suspect.
It will be recalled that Shodipe was arrested in connection with the killing of Barakat ,Azeezat shomuyiwa among others.
